My art is a journey of confronting the irreversibility of time and obsolescence, capturing the very state of "Delayed Collapse" that exists in between.

​My exploration, which originally began with the mutable medium of ice, has recently expanded its territory into AI-generated spaces (AI Space). The works I manifest today are digital strata of a new dimension, realized within an AI ecosystem entirely liberated from physical constraints.

​In the heart of historical realities like Madrid’s Plaza Mayor or Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate, I erect minimalist stone structures and suspend massive boulders precariously in mid-air with tangled ropes. This taut tension, which seems to defy gravity, represents a new law of nature born within the uncontrollable virtual realm. Concurrently, the kettles, pots, and tin cans sunken beneath the gallery floors and weathered asphalt surfaces bear raw witness to how the mundane relics of civilization precipitate and dissolve within digital pixels.

​This is not a mere imitation of reality, but my own form of "Digital Vanitas," questioning human finitude amidst technological abundance. If I previously surrendered the initiative of my work to the physical process of melting ice, I now share that authorship with the AI space, pushing analog memories into a fluid, digital cycle.

​From the fragile memory of ice to the seemingly immortal data of AI spaces, I witness the laws of a world slowly collapsing and stratifying before my eyes. In this irreversible current, what traces of existence must we remember and hold onto? My work stands as a solid yet pliable record of all things fading away on the threshold between the virtual and the real.


​나의 예술은 시간의 비가역성과 소멸을 마주하며, 그 사이에 존재하는 ‘지연된 붕괴(Delayed Collapse)’를 붙잡는 여정이다.

얼음이라는 가변적 물질에서 시작된 탐구는 최근 인공지능(AI)이 생성한 가상 공간(AI Space)으로 그 영토를 전면 확장했다. 최근 마주한 작업들은 물리적 제약을 벗어난 AI 생태계 속에서 구현된 새로운 차원의 디지털 지층이다.

마드리드 마요르 광장이나 베를린 브란덴부르크 문 같은 역사적 현실 한복판에 미니멀한 석조 구조물을 세우고, 거대한 암석들을 밧줄로 공중에 위태롭게 매달아 놓는다. 중력을 거스르는 이 팽팽한 긴장감은 인간의 통제를 벗어난 가상 세계가 제안하는 새로운 자연 법칙이다. 동시에 전시장 바닥과 비장한 아스팔트 지면 아래 가라앉은 주전자, 냄비, 통조림 캔들은 문명의 평범한 유물들이 디지털 픽셀 속에서 어떻게 침전되고 소멸해 가는지를 날것 그대로 증명한다.

이것은 현실의 단순한 모방이 아니다. 기술적 풍요 속에서 되레 인간의 유한성을 묻는 나만의 ‘디지털 바니타스(Digital Vanitas)’다. 과거에 얼음이 녹아내리는 물리적 과정에 작업의 주도권을 내어주었다면, 이제는 AI라는 가상 공간에 주체성을 공유하며 아날로그의 기억을 디지털의 유기적 순환 속으로 밀어 넣는다.

가장 연약한 얼음의 기억에서 시작해 불멸해 보이는 데이터의 영역에 이르기까지, 나는 눈앞에서 서서히 무너지고 적층되는 세계의 법칙을 목격한다. 멈출 수 없는 흐름 속에서 우리가 끝내 기억하고 붙잡아야 할 존재의 흔적은 무엇인가. 나의 작업은 가상과 현실의 경계 위에서 소멸해 가는 모든 것들을 향한, 단단하고도 유연한 기록이다.
