Testimony of Coded Existence
An eye within the cold ice stares obsessively at a single point. Translucently filtering light to reveal its hidden potential, the gaze confronts microscopic cracks formed by air friction, signaling the breakdown of a rigid order.
This work explores the tragedy of contemporary society, where existence is reduced to codes and categories within a pervasive surveillance grid. Entangled in a network that strips away human agency, our presence dissolves into a hollow shell.
Here, the work deeply intersects with Object-Oriented Ontology (OOO). The human systems of surveillance and classification are ultimately dismantled by the physical time and melting dynamics of the non-human object: ice.
The uncontrollable thawing and collapse of the ice erode the boundary between the observer and the observed, bearing silent witness to a reality beyond human-centric networks. Amidst the confines of a closed society, the frozen gaze traverses infinite entropy to lay bare the essence of existence and disappearance.
