A Movement Toward Eternity

I regard water not as a mere material, but as an entity capable of moving, acting, and leaving traces of its own. This work focuses less on human control and more on the movements and generative processes produced by matter itself. As water flows across the floor, it creates unpredictable paths—temporary forms that appear, disappear, and eventually evaporate.

This perspective is inspired by the philosophy of Jane Bennett, who argues that matter possesses its own agency, and by Emanuele Coccia, who explores the continuous intermingling of life and things. In this sense, water is not a passive object governed by human intention, but an active participant that forms relationships and generates new orders within the world.

The lines drawn across the floor do not lead toward a fixed destination. Rather, they embody a movement of becoming and vanishing, appearance and disappearance. Water creates forms as it flows and erases them as it evaporates. Yet disappearance is not an end. Water returns as vapor, cloud, and rain, continuing an endless cycle of transformation.

Within this cycle, I seek to contemplate the nature of existence itself. Eternity is not a condition of permanence, but a continuous process of change and recurrence. Through the movement of water, this work reveals how existence emerges, fades, and reappears, suggesting that all beings are already moving toward eternity.
