I select one image or sentence from the endless outputs generated by AI and freeze it like a glacier. In Synth-Glacier, “Synth” refers to the synthetic signals and data produced by artificial intelligence, while “Glacier” symbolizes a cold state that preserves rapidly flowing digital information.
Through this work, I attempt to grant AI-generated results not merely the status of technical outputs, but the possibility of artistic meaning and interpretation. Ice, as a medium, contains both creation and disappearance, preservation and collapse, materially revealing the unstable condition of AI imagery.
As time passes, the glacier slowly melts, exposing the dystopian landscapes and traces of humanity trapped within it. Through this process, I record an era in which the boundaries between real and fake, human and artificial intelligence, are becoming increasingly blurred.
